Richelle Mead's commentary on The Golden Lily

Richelle Mead started a Bloodlines Book Club where she re-read the first two books and posted commentary about each chapter in both books to countdown the release of The Indigo Spell. As she stated on her blog, "They won't be summaries or anything--mostly just my thoughts about what was going on when I wrote those chapters." She completed Bloodlines and you can find links here. She also finally finished reading The Golden Lily and links to those posts are below.

Oh I just realized that The Golden Lily may be longer in length, but it has less chapters than Bloodlines. Well, anyway, that seems to be all the commentary for now! Hopefully she does one for The Indigo Spell later on, especially since it's suppose to be her hottest one yet!

Audio Editions of Books 1 - 3

Okay, so I had to show off the cover art of the audio editions! You can see more of Adrian's face (*stares* hehe) on The Indigo Spell and a little on Bloodlines and more of Sydney's face on The Golden Lily. I've included links to Amazon for each book, and you can actually hear samples from Bloodlines and The Indigo Spell. Not sure why The Golden Lily doesn't provide a sample.

If you're wondering, no, The Indigo Spell does not go all the way to chapter three. I was really REALLY hoping it would! haha But, it's only a sample of some of chapter one. I don't even think it got to the Adrian part. *sigh* Just 10 more days...

Richelle Mead's January 24 Twitter Chat

Last week on January 17, Richelle Mead had a Twitter chat for 30 minutes via #readpenguin where she answered questions tweeted to her by fans. The focus was on world-building (although, you really could ask whatever you wanted). The entire chat can be found here.

Yesterday, she had another Twitter chat, and this time the theme was romance! I'm not going to compile all the tweets (you can read the transcript here), but I will post the ones relating to Bloodlines and Sydney/Adrian. Two of my questions were answered, so that was pretty exciting. I made sure to bold those. ;)

Oh and before I forget, Richelle Mead will be having yet another Twitter chat next week! On Thursday, January 31 at 8PM EST. It will have a general Bloodlines theme. Looking forward to that. Hopefully I can think of some good questions by then.

Now on to the tweets!

Bloodlines news you might have missed from November to January

It's been awhile! I never meant for this blog to be quiet for this long. Sorry about that. I'm going to try harder to keep this as active as possible from now on. (I guess that could be my New Year's resolution.) I feel like lots has happened since the last time I updated, so I will post everything major I can remember.

The title of Bloodlines book 4 is... The Fiery Heart! Richelle Mead revealed it on November 12. That was like best day ever. Because not only did she reveal the title, but she also revealed something amazing about the book. I can't even... Okay, just read what she said:
"This'll make a lot more sense when you read Indigo, which I'm starting to get super impatient for. Come on, February! Lots of big things happen in Indigo, and you romance fans are going to pass out. You know what also might make you pass out? This:

The Fiery Heart is going to be told from both Sydney and Adrian's points of view. That's right. If you've ever wanted to get inside the crazy world of Adrian Ivashkov's head, this is it. It'll still be in first person, but the POV will alternate chapters. I'm so excited about this, it's not even funny. Well, actually...since it's Adrian, it'll be hilarious. I think you guys'll love it..." (source)
Don't tell me you didn't want to pass out when you read that. Sydney's AND Adrian's POVs?! That's a dream come true! I cannot freaking wait! I think I want it more than The Indigo Spell! haha The Fiery Heart is most likely going to be released Fall 2013. Yep, that's right. We're going to get two Bloodlines/Sydrian books in one year! Best year ever!

Premiere of the filmed fan fave Golden Lily scene!

Squee! The result of the Bloodlines Facebook Challenge I've mentioned before is here, you guys! The Sydney/Adrian KISS scene from The Golden Lily that was chosen by the fans and filmed back on October 12 has finally been released! Watch it now:

*dies from Sydrian overload*

All thanks to Team Bloodlines at Penguin Teen Australia for working hard and making this happen for the fans! Can't forget the actors, Daisy Masterman and Nic Wheeler, who did an amazing job portraying the moment! And in case you didn't know, Team Bloodlines has already filmed ANOTHER Sydrian scene from The Golden Lily (hint: BLACKOUT), so expect another video before the end of the year! I cannot wait! Now, excuse me while I go watch the video again and again to get my much needed Sydrian fix.

The Sydrian Challenge

Or what's known as the Bloodlines Facebook Challenge. It all began in August when the Bloodlines page on Facebook started dropping hints about a secret project. Like this status posted on August 24:
"For those fans who are DESPERATE for more Indigo Spell and Sydney/Adrian action (really, who isn't?!); hold tight. In the coming weeks we've got some big announcements that we think you'll enjoy. ;)"
Desperate? No, DYING. haha There's no question I'm a hardcore Bloodlines and Sydrian fan, so you can imagine my reaction when I saw this post. And I kept wondering what the huge announcement could be. I knew it was going to be something good, but I really had no idea. Then a couple of days later Team Bloodlines posted this:

Right then and there, I knew! They were going to film those scenes! Or something like that. They've made book teaser trailers for both Bloodlines and The Golden Lily (which can be seen on their YouTube), so I knew they would be able to do it. It just made sense!
